Pretargeted immuno-PET of CEA-expressing intraperitoneal human colonic tumor xenografts: a new sensitive detection method

BACKGROUND In this study, pretargeted immuno-positron-emission tomography [PET] with a bispecific monoclonal anti-carcinoembryonic antigen [CEA] (CEACAM5) × anti-hapten antibody (bispecific monoclonal antibody [bsmAb]) and a small (1.5 kD) peptide labeled with 68Ga was compared to fludeoxyglucose [18F-FDG]-PET for detecting intraperitoneal [i.p.] CEA-expressing human colonic tumor xenografts in...

Bispecific antibody pretargeting of radionuclides for immuno single-photon emission computed tomography and immuno positron emission tomography molecular imaging: an update.

Molecular imaging is intended to localize disease based on distinct molecular/functional characteristics. Much of today's interest in molecular imaging is attributed to the increased acceptance and role of 18F-flurodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) imaging in a variety of tumors. The clinical acceptance of 18F-FDG has stimulated research for other positron emission tomography (PET) agents with improved sp...

CEA TCB: A novel head-to-tail 2:1 T cell bispecific antibody for treatment of CEA-positive solid tumors

Carcinoembryonic antigen T cell bispecific antibody (CEA TCB) is a bispecific antibody used to recognize CEA and CD3e via a novel molecular format (2:1) that induces T cell-mediated killing of CEA over-expressing tumors while sparing primary cells with low CEA expression. CEA TCB treatment inhibits tumor growth and generates a highly inflamed tumor microenvironment.

Radionuclide-Based Cancer Imaging Targeting the Carcinoembryonic Antigen

Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), highly expressed in many cancer types, is an important target for cancer diagnosis and therapy. Radionuclide-based imaging techniques (gamma camera, single photon emission computed tomography [SPECT] and positron emission tomography [PET]) have been extensively explored for CEA-targeted cancer imaging both preclinically and clinically. Briefly, these studies can ...
